Why these Guidelines exist

NexusG8 was built first with Muslim communities and is designed for every values-led community. Its purpose is to help people find one another, organise what they can offer and what they need, and route opportunity through relationships they already trust. Software alone cannot do that. Trust can.

We begin with niyyah, sincere intention. The standard we hold ourselves to is drawn from the Qur'an and the example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and it is a standard every person of goodwill can recognise: honesty, dignity, contribution, and responsibility for one another.

"Hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided." — Qur'an 3:103
"The believer to another believer is like a building whose parts strengthen one another." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari and Muslim)

These Guidelines apply to everyone who uses NexusG8: members, visitors, community administrators, and NexusG8 itself. They are part of the Terms of Service.

1. Unity with accountability

"And do not dispute, lest you lose courage and your strength depart." — Qur'an 8:46

Community does not require uniformity. NexusG8 brings together people of different schools of thought, cultures, professions, generations, and opinions. You may disagree, debate, question, and challenge. What you may not do is use disagreement as cover for cruelty, deception, or deliberate division. Unity without accountability becomes avoidance; accountability without adab becomes destruction. We expect both.

2. Be who you say you are

"O you who believe, stand firmly for justice, as witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves." — Qur'an 4:135

Trust collapses when identities, credentials, affiliations, or intentions are misrepresented. Do not:

  • impersonate any person, organisation, mosque, or institution;
  • create deceptive or duplicate identities;
  • claim qualifications, roles, or community authority you do not hold;
  • misrepresent a business, product, service, investment, or opportunity;
  • manipulate verification or approval systems.

NexusG8 may ask for additional verification where it is needed to protect the network.

3. Treat people with dignity

"The best of you are those with the best character." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari)

Address ideas and conduct, not the person. We do not permit:

  • threats, intimidation, or stalking;
  • targeted harassment, bullying, or humiliation campaigns;
  • doxxing or the malicious disclosure of private information;
  • sexual harassment;
  • blackmail or coercion;
  • repeated unwanted contact after someone has said stop;
  • content that dehumanises people or calls for violence against them because of who they are.

Strong disagreement is not harassment. Severity, persistence, context, and intent all matter, and we weigh them.

4. Contribute before you consume

"The most beloved of people to Allah are those most beneficial to people." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (al-Mu'jam al-Awsat)
"The upper hand is better than the lower hand." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari)

NexusG8 exists to make community capacity useful. Ask not only "what can this network give me?" but "what can I contribute?" Skills, introductions, mentorship, employment, capital, knowledge, time, and sincere advice all strengthen a community. Self-promotion is welcome when it is honest and in the right place; spam, unsolicited pitching, and treating members as leads are not.

5. Guard what is entrusted to you

"Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due." — Qur'an 4:58
"Avoid much suspicion... and do not spy or backbite one another." — Qur'an 49:12

Access to a community's directory, a member's contact details, or a Share Pass is an amanah. It is given for a purpose, and it does not become yours to redistribute. Do not publish, export, sell, or forward another person's private information, including addresses, phone numbers, private email, financial or medical details, government identification, private messages, or precise location. Do not scrape, harvest, or bulk-download member information. Community administrators are held to a higher standard here (section 8).

6. Speak with modesty and justice

"And when you speak, be just, even if it concerns a relative." — Qur'an 6:152

Keep language and images decent. No pornography, no gratuitous violence, no gossip, no mockery of anyone's faith, ethnicity, gender, or disability. Good-faith religious, historical, political, academic, and social discussion is welcome. The line is crossed when discussion becomes targeted degradation or incitement.

7. No exploitation

"Woe to those who give less than due, who take full measure from people but give less when they measure or weigh for them." — Qur'an 83:1–3

NexusG8 removes and may report:

  • fraudulent fundraising and fake charities;
  • investment scams, pyramid and multi-level recruitment schemes, and "guaranteed return" offers;
  • phishing, credential theft, and financial impersonation;
  • counterfeit goods and deceptive marketplace listings;
  • any attempt to manipulate trust for personal or financial gain.

NexusG8 does not independently verify every person, organisation, fundraiser, or opportunity on the platform. Do your own due diligence, and report what looks wrong.

8. Community Gate responsibilities

"Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you is responsible for their flock." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari)

Organisations operating a Community Gate hold members' trust and information. Administrators must:

  • represent their organisation accurately;
  • use member information only for legitimate community purposes inside NexusG8;
  • limit administrative access to the people who need it and keep those accounts secure;
  • decide membership fairly and respond to reports of abuse;
  • never export, sell, scrape, or commercially exploit member information;
  • never use community access to surveil, harass, discriminate against, or pressure members;
  • follow the Community Partner Terms and applicable law.

Approval is a trust designation. It is neither permanent nor unconditional, and NexusG8 may suspend or remove a Community Gate that abuses it.

9. Keep the platform working for everyone

Do not send bulk unsolicited messages, run unauthorised bots, create fake accounts, manipulate discovery or engagement, circumvent rate limits or visibility settings, or attempt unauthorised access to NexusG8 systems. Security researchers acting in good faith are welcome to write to support@nexusg8.com with "Security" in the subject line.

10. Nothing illegal or dangerous

NexusG8 may not be used to facilitate unlawful activity, credible threats of violence, trafficking, exploitation of minors, or malicious hacking. We cooperate with lawful authorities where the law requires it or where there is a serious threat to someone's safety.

11. Misinformation

NexusG8 is not the final authority on every disputed religious, political, scientific, or commercial claim, and we do not aim to be. We act against fraud, dangerous impersonation, falsified authority, materially deceptive financial claims, and coordinated manipulation. Elsewhere we prefer verified organisations, trusted institutions, reporting tools, and added context over censorship.

12. Reporting

Report harassment, fraud, impersonation, privacy violations, dangerous activity, community misuse, spam, or security issues through the report tools in the product or by emailing support@nexusg8.com. Reports are confidential to the extent the law allows. Knowingly false or malicious reports are themselves a violation.

13. How we enforce

We consider severity, context, intent, pattern, risk to others, prior history, the evidence available, and our legal obligations. Depending on the situation we may:

  • warn a member;
  • remove or restrict content;
  • limit a feature, messaging, or discovery;
  • revoke verification or administrative privileges;
  • suspend a Community Gate;
  • suspend an account temporarily;
  • terminate an account permanently;
  • refer a serious matter to the authorities.

We may act immediately and without notice where there is a serious security, fraud, abuse, or safety risk.

14. Correction and return

"The religion is sincere advice." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Muslim)

We believe in correction, not cancellation. Where it is safe to do so, we tell people what went wrong and give them the chance to put it right. A member or Community Gate may ask for a review of an enforcement decision by emailing support@nexusg8.com; a review does not guarantee reversal, and we may decline repeated or abusive appeals. A sincere person who has made amends will find the door open.

Our shared standard

We do not believe people's identities should exist as inventory for advertising systems. We believe technology can help people find one another, organise capacity, build trust, route opportunity, strengthen institutions, and create value together, and that this only works when the platform and its members share responsibility.

Your information is an amanah. Your access is an amanah. Your relationships are an amanah. We intend to treat them accordingly, and we ask the same of you.

"Let there be among you a group who calls to good, enjoins what is right, and forbids what is wrong. They are the successful." — Qur'an 3:104
