In one line: bring in only people you know are part of your community, look after what they trust you with, and answer for what happens inside it.
You run a community on NexusG8 as its owner, admin or moderator (a steward). A NexusG8 network is only as trustworthy as the people its stewards let in, so this pledge is the one thing every steward must read and accept, for each community they run, before their Command Center opens.
What I promise
- I bring in only people I know. I approve people I know to be part of this community: our members, congregants, students, alumni, attendees, the customers we actually serve. I don't recruit strangers, buy or borrow lists, or chase sign-ups to make a number bigger. When I am not sure, I ask, or I hold the request.
- I represent this community truthfully. I am authorised to run it, and what it says about itself is true.
- I keep what members share as a trust. Their details are an amanah, given for running this community. I never sell them, scrape them, or take them elsewhere.
- I answer for my community. If people I let in cause harm, I act: I warn, I remove, and I report. I am the first line of trust; NexusG8 is the second.
- I keep the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Service (honest dealing, dignity, no exploitation), the standard of truthfulness and trust drawn from Islamic principles, which every person of goodwill can recognise.
If it goes wrong
- A confirmed violation of the Terms of Service or the Community Guidelines (by a steward, or by people a steward let in) counts against the community.
- The first time, we tell you what happened and what has to change.
- The second time, we may restrict the community: pause new approvals, broadcasts or its listing until it is put right.
- The third time, we may remove the community and its stewards from NexusG8 permanently, and refuse them a new community.
- Serious harm (fraud, threats, exploitation, putting anyone in danger) can mean removal straight away.
We act only on violations of the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines, never on a community's size, its views or who it serves. We always say what happened, and you can ask for a review at support@nexusg8.com.
How this fits with the rest
This pledge adds to the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines and, for approved communities, the Community Partner Terms. It applies from the moment you accept it, and NexusG8 keeps a record of who accepted which version, for which community, and when. If we change it, we ask you to accept the new version before your Command Center opens again.
