Relationships and capacity become a picture: who belongs, in what role, with what skills, needs and offers. Aggregate first, detail by permission.

Jobs, volunteers, introductions, alerts and opportunities move to the right people as pings, through the trust the community already holds.

Value
When businesses reach the community through its own infrastructure, the community keeps its share instead of paying an outside platform for its own people.
Why a category and not a feature
AWS meant a business no longer built its own data centre. Stripe meant it no longer built a banking integration. CIaaS means a community no longer builds — or rents, piece by piece — an identity system, a directory, a CRM, a relationship graph, entry points, a map, a routing engine and a way to be paid for its own network.

What the infrastructure provides
Identity
Members have a persistent identity rather than being reduced to phone numbers, email addresses, handles, or anonymous followers.
Relationships
The relationship between a person and a community is recorded: member, volunteer, donor, professional, attendee, parent, student, board member.
Community intelligence
Skills, professions, needs, offers, interests, locations and businesses become queryable instead of invisible.
Routing
Jobs, introductions, volunteers, alerts, services, events, knowledge and capital can be moved intentionally to the right people.
Economic recirculation
Instead of paying outside platforms to reach people it already gathered, the community keeps a share of the value that moves through it.
Three loops
Member loop
Identity → discovery → opportunity → return. An owned identity creates repeated utility.
Community loop
Foot traffic → verified roster → coordination → revenue share. A verified roster creates recurring coordination and revenue.
Network loop
More communities → more members → more routing → more outcomes. A member who belongs to two communities carries the second one in.
