Born Bryant Moss in Washington, D.C., he started doing comedy at seven, imitating the pastor at his family’s church, which is how he became Preacher. He converted to Islam in 1988, wrote for Damon Wayans, George Lopez and Darrell Hammond on Saturday Night Live, and founded Allah Made Me Funny, the official Muslim comedy tour, which played 30 U.S. cities in its first year before touring Canada, Europe, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. His End of Racism comedy and lecture has toured hundreds of college campuses and high schools.
